2026 Autumn/Winter New Sleeping Bags and Mats4 Brands, 7 Sleeping Bag Series and 4 Mats

As of Oct 13, 2026, what the Japanese official pages called new were from 4 brands, NANGA, mont-bell, NEMO and LOGOS: 7 sleeping bag series and 4 mats. For a lowest temperature around 0°C I choose NEMO's Disco 15 (comfort temperature −3°C), and for around −5°C NANGA's Revibe Bag -15 (−8°C).

For a lowest temperature around 0°C, NEMO's Disco 15; for around −5°C, NANGA's Revibe Bag -15 is my pick.

If you choose by the number in the name, you will go wrong. NANGA's new series, the Revibe Bag -8, has a comfort temperature of −2°C on the official page, and the −8 in the name was the lower limit temperature. How I chose

First was comfort temperature. I kept only those 2 to 3°C below the lowest temperature of the place you stay, and compared by dividing the official price by the amount of down.

When you sleep in a tent more than half the year, a sleeping bag is something you fold every morning and unfold every night, so next I looked at the packed size row. Both of my two picks pack large, so I named a different one for people who carry on their backs.

NANGA's new sleeping bags: 3 series, 14 models

The number in the name is the amount of down (g) for the upper two series, and the lower limit temperature for the Revibe Bag.

Aurora Tex Light

The first overhaul in 8 years. The outer is waterproof breathable fabric. The deciding point is packed size. The 630DX, with a comfort temperature of −6°C, is about 5.1L, and the Revibe Bag -15 is 2.5 times that.

This part is a weak point. The 630DX costs JPY 9,900 more than the -15 and has 130g less down, so it suits people with a narrow car trunk, a motorcycle, or who carry on their back. Dry Dread Bag

A series renamed from UDD BAG. What I recommend is the 470DX, the lightest of the new products that reach a comfort temperature of 0°C, with the smallest packed size too at about 4.6L.

There is zero margin. Comfort is exactly 0°C, so on a day when the forecast is for a cold snap, add clothing. It is a bag for people who walk with it on their back, and I summarized how it changed from the UDD BAG in the Dry Dread Bag review.

Revibe Bag: for around −5°C my pick is the -15

The selling point is width. It is a new series about 5% longer and wider than a typical mummy type, and the -15 has 3°C of margin on a −5°C night. The deciding point is JPY 75.3 per gram of down, the lowest of NANGA's 14 models (the highest, the 310DX, is JPY 156.1).

Things to watch are the packed size of about 12.7L and that the outer is not waterproof breathable fabric. I recommend it to people who carry by car and want to sleep with room.

For around 0°C if you want width, the -8, with a maximum shoulder width of 87cm.

NANGA writes on its product pages that the temperature at which you can sleep comfortably differs with the environment, altitude, weather, clothing and constitution.

New sleeping bags from NEMO, mont-bell and LOGOS

NEMO Disco: for around 0°C my pick is the 15

On a 0°C night it has 3°C of margin. The deciding point is price. At JPY 49.7 per gram for 642g of down, it costs about 60% of NANGA's 3 models that also reach 0°C.

This part is a weak point. The packed size is about 10.0L, more than double the Dry Dread Bag 470DX. It is a sleeping bag for people who carry by car.

mont-bell Family Bag and Down Family Bag

These are envelope types. They can be zipped together; there are 4 synthetic models and 2 down models. What I recommend is the down #1. In exchange for costing JPY 12,900 more than the synthetic one in the same number, the packed size shrinks from 35.3L to 13.2L.

Watch the temperature. mont-bell writes that it excludes Family Bags from measurement by the ISO method, so they cannot be lined up beside mummy-type comfort temperatures. It suits families who do not want sleeping bags to fill the car's trunk.

LOGOS SNOOPY Soft Warm Sleeping Bag -0

A machine-washable envelope type on sale from Jan 29, with a large packed size of about 60 × 60 × 20cm, for families who go by car.

New mats: seen by R-value

A sleeping bag's temperature assumes a mat under it. The ability to stop cold from the ground is compared by R-value, and I put how it is measured in the mat R-value article.

NEMO Eclipse All-Season

This is the one I recommend among this year's mats. The weight is almost the same as the Zor 2026. The R-value is 2.3 times.

Watch the air. It is a mat supported by air alone, so if it gets a hole it loses thickness and insulation, so take the included repair patch with you, kept in the bag. It suits people whose back got cold in winter.

NEMO Zor 2026, Ora 2026 and Roamer 2026

The only one I could compare with its previous generation by official numbers is the Zor: the weight and R-value are the same, and the valve changed and the price fell JPY 550. From the numbers, I find no reason for someone who owns the previous Zor to upgrade.

The Ora 2026 is the cheaper one. It is 80g heavier for thicker fabric and JPY 2,200 lower. Both are mats for spring to autumn.

Who is it for?

It suits people who stay in autumn and winter at places too cold for their current sleeping bag. For around 0°C the Disco 15 (comfort −3°C), for around −5°C the Revibe Bag -15 (comfort −8°C). Both are 2026 autumn/winter new products, widening how you can choose for cold nights.

If you are short by just 2 to 3°C, there is also mont-bell's new Climaair Light Warm-Up Sheet (214g), which lowers the usable temperature by about 3°C. If your back gets cold, look at the mat's R-value first.
