LOGOS's Kazenuki Q-Set Tarp 250-BG is a sunshade that stands in about 2 minutes: open the frame and drape the fabric over it. It went on sale in stages from Jun 25, 2026, at JPY 21,800 incl. tax. The roof has a path for wind to escape, the fabric blocks 100% of light, and the size suits a BBQ for about four.

The Gear Nerd's Pick

The Kazenuki Q-Set Tarp is a one-touch tarp that lets gusts slide past through the VENT TOP SYSTEM, which releases wind from the top of the roof. One-touch sunshades tend to trap wind in the roof, so this matters. That is why I recommend this tarp to families who want shade quickly in windy spots like beaches and riverbanks.

  • The fabric has a Solar Block treatment: UV cut rate of 99.9% or more and 100% light blocking. Waterproof rating is 1,000mm

When did the Kazenuki Q-Set Tarp come out? How much is it?

It has been on sale in stages since Thursday, Jun 25, 2026, at the LOGOS Shop and mass retailers nationwide. The 250-BG is JPY 21,800 incl. tax. It is a new product in LOGOS's 2027 lineup, in three sizes: 200, 250 and 270.

When you spend more than half the year camping, midday sun and evening gusts come almost every day. So with a one-touch sunshade, I check how it lets wind escape before I check how wide it is. This tarp has an escape route for wind at the top of the roof.

How I judged it

First I lined up the weight and price of the three sizes. The 250-BG is about 11.0kg and JPY 21,800, which is 1.6kg lighter and JPY 2,000 cheaper than the 270-BG. It is wide enough for a table and chairs for a family of four, and the carrying weight from the car stays down, so it is the right size in the middle.

What I wavered on was the waterproof rating: 1,000mm is modest for a roof on a rainy day. I still recommend it because the 100% light-blocking fabric and the wind-venting roof do the job of sunshade well on a clear day. It is the star of summer BBQs and day camps.

270-BGJPY 23,800About 270×270cmAbout 12.6kg117cm
As shown on the LOGOS official product page on Oct 18, 2026 and in the press release of Aug 4. All 3 have a waterproof rating of 1,000mm, 4 height settings, and a steel frame.

The roof area is 2.0 × 2.0 = 4.0㎡, 2.5 × 2.5 = 6.25㎡ and 2.7 × 2.7 = 7.29㎡. The price per ㎡ is JPY 4,700 for the 200, JPY 3,488 for the 250 and JPY 3,265 for the 270, so bigger is cheaper per area.

LOGOS's split is the 200 for a few people, the 250 for family camping or a yard, and the 270 for group BBQs. If you are unsure about headcount, decide by whether you will put a table under it and you will not go wrong.

What I like

Fabric that stops sunlight. With the Solar Block treatment it has a UV cut rate of 99.9% or more and 100% light blocking. The maker claims a temperature difference of up to about 15°C between sun and shade. It helps families who want to rest their children in the shade at midday in summer.

Setup takes about 2 minutes. You open the one-piece frame, drape the fabric over it and fasten it. No screws or fittings are needed. Taking it down is the same steps in reverse.

Height changes in 4 steps. The 250-BG goes up to 257cm, and the eaves range from about 180cm down to 95cm. You can lower it when the wind picks up. The ceiling has a detachable hook belt, so you can hang a lantern.

One more note: the waterproof rating is 1,000mm. If you want the roof to double as rain cover, there are other ways to choose. I put how to read the numbers in the tent waterproof rating article.

Compared with Coleman's one-touch sunshade

At the same 250cm square, there is Coleman's Instant Visor Shade IV/250 DR.

The size and height are the same; the differences are in weight, packed length and waterproof rating. Coleman packs 30cm shorter, and LOGOS is 2.1kg lighter.

Coleman is the one that is stronger in rain and lower in price. If you want 2.1kg less to carry, plus the wind-venting roof and the 100% light-blocking fabric, LOGOS is the one. If you mostly want shade on clear days and want to cut carrying weight, you will be happy with the LOGOS. The size and headcount guide for tarps is in the tarp size and headcount article.

What to buy with it

When you want to block sun from the side, attach the dedicated Q-Set Sidewall 250-BG (JPY 4,180, about 800g) with hook-and-loop fasteners. It has a waterproof rating of 1,000mm and also softens rain and wind blowing in.

Who is it for?

It suits families who want shade the moment they arrive on a clear camping or day-camp day. With setup in about 2 minutes, the children can rest under a roof that blocks 100% of light.

If you already own a pole-type tarp, it is also a good choice to keep using the one you have.
