The TOKYO CRAFTS Geo Pivot (TC-345) is an outdoor chair that lets you turn a full 360° while seated. It's currently taking pre-orders for restock, with delivery from late November 2026, JPY 13,420 incl. tax. It's a reworked version whose moving part changed from bearings to a bolt design. If you move between the fire and the table, wait for it; if you want lightness, the X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR you can buy now is enough.
The Gear Nerd's Pick
When you spend more than half the year camping, the number of times you turn in your chair in a single night is beyond counting: the fire, the table, the person next to you. So I don't see a swivel chair as a luxury; I see it as a tool that removes the hassle of lifting and resetting your chair. The Geo Pivot comes back with that swivel rebuilt around a bolt design. It's a re-release that fixes the part most likely to weaken, and that's my reason to buy it.
Key points
- Load capacity divided by weight is about 57× (100 ÷ 1.74). Smaller than the X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR's about 142×; it's heavier by the weight of the swivel mechanism
- A seat of about 42cm is nearly the same height as the X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR (about 41.5cm) and the Healing Chair NX (about 41cm)
- Moving part changed from bearings to a bolt design. Passed a 240kg maximum-load test, but the guaranteed load capacity is about 100kg

When is the Geo Pivot released? Delivery from late Nov, JPY 13,420
You can't get the TOKYO CRAFTS Geo Pivot (TC-345) yet. The product page says "taking restock orders", with new pre-orders expected to be delivered from late November 2026. The price is JPY 13,420 incl. tax.
The product page notes that as a pre-order item it can't be canceled, and the delivery time may shift depending on production. It's a chair worth waiting for if you want to face both the fire and the table. If you want to carry something in the low-1kg range, a light chair you can buy now is enough.
How I judged it
The first thing I looked at was seat height. At about 42cm, it's almost the same as the Hilander X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR (about 41.5cm). At the same height, the only differences are whether it swivels, and the weight.
The weight difference is 1.74 − 1.06 = 0.68kg, and the price difference is 13,420 − 7,980 = JPY 5,440. In other words, you pay about 0.7kg and about JPY 5,400 for the swivel.
Load capacity is where I hesitated. About 100kg, 50kg less than the X-FRAME's about 150kg. I still recommend it because the rework went into the swivel itself. Turning without lifting the chair is something only this shape gives you.

What changed from the previous version? Inside the "new Geo Pivot"
Two things changed. The moving part went from a bearing design to a bolt design, and the frame material was chosen again for more strength. It passed a load test at a maximum of 240kg.
This is easy to misread. 240kg is a test value; the guaranteed load capacity, with a safety margin built in, is about 100kg. If your body weight plus gear exceeds 100kg, this isn't your chair.
Assembled, it's about 60×60×75cm, made of 600D polyester and aluminum. Packed size in the specs is about 50×15×15cm (about 11.3L as a box). The features section of the product page also gives a different figure, 15cm diameter × 38cm, so it's safer to plan your car packing around the larger number.
vs the X-FRAME, Healing Chair NX and Chair One (re)
Scroll the table sideways →
| Model | Seat height | Weight | Load capacity | Official price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geo Pivot TC-345 (pre-release, swivels) | About 42cm | About 1.74kg | About 100kg | JPY 13,420 |
| Hilander X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR | About 41.5cm | About 1.06kg | About 150kg | JPY 7,980 |
| Coleman Healing Chair NX | About 41cm | About 2.5kg | About 100kg | JPY 5,280 |
| Helinox Chair One (re) | 39cm | 1,020g | 145kg | JPY 18,000 |
Divide load capacity by weight and the Geo Pivot is about 57×, the X-FRAME about 142× (150 ÷ 1.06). On the ratio of lightness to strength the X-FRAME wins, so it's the one for people who don't need to swivel.

The Healing Chair NX is about 0.76kg heavier than the Geo Pivot and about 0.39× the price (5,280 ÷ 13,420). It's a chair for people who drive and want to keep costs down. I put the numbers for 12 chairs in the camp chair weight and load capacity comparison.

Things to watch
This is a weak point. About 1.74kg is on the heavy side among light chairs with seats around 40cm. If you travel on foot or by motorbike, that 0.68kg difference sits right on your shoulders.
The other is where you put it. On sloping ground, a swivel chair feels different depending on which way it faces. Put it on flat ground and don't drop into it hard. Staying under the about 100kg load capacity is a given.
Bottom line: a chair for solo campers and pairs who drive and move between the fire and the table.
TOKYO CRAFTS Geo Pivot TC-345
Who is it for?
It suits people who turn many times a night: toward the fire, the table, the person next to you, without lifting the chair. It's also reassuring that the swivel was rebuilt with a bolt design.
If you and your gear exceed 100kg, the X-FRAME at about 150kg is the safer choice. If your table is 60cm or higher, the X-FRAME COMPACT CHAIR HIGH is another option.
