The first thing I checked was the gap between the open size and the packed thickness. The top is about 120 × 60 cm, an area of 0.72 m² (1.2 × 0.6). That is twice the DOD Magical Table (about 0.36 m²). Even so, it packs 60 cm wide and 10 cm thick, so it stands against the wall of the trunk.
Weight and price were my doubts. At 5.8 kg it is about 3 times the Magical Table (1.9 kg; 5.8 ÷ 1.9). But per square meter, the Osamari costs about JPY 26,000 (18,700 ÷ 0.72) and the Magical JPY 27,500 (9,900 ÷ 0.36), so the extra width comes out cheaper. That is why I recommend it to anyone who eats with four or more people.

What changes with four heights?
Two sets of legs, long and short, combine to give heights of 38, 56, 64 and 82 cm. Use 38 cm with a 35 cm-seat low chair, 56 to 64 cm with an ordinary camp chair, and 82 cm for cutting or grilling while standing. One table covers all of it.
Next to DOD's Nice Middle Chair (35 cm seat), the 38 cm height is the natural match. With the side shelves attached outside, the top stretches to about 166 cm.
Things to watch
The top is melamine-coated MDF, and the frame is aluminum alloy. Don't set hot pots or pans straight on it; use a trivet. Also avoid leaving it wet.
No carry bag is included. It comes with the legs (4 long, 4 short) and caps, so get a case you won't lose first.
