The TOKYO CRAFTS HANARE air-frame tent is for people who want a single 245cm-high room they can open and close with three panels. The clincher is a ceiling 45cm higher than the LOGOS air tent, and no bedroom inner is included. It's listed as a pre-order, "delivery expected from late February 2027" (estimate), JPY 198,000 incl. tax.

The Gear Nerd's Pick

The HANARE stands a box up on air tubes, and the front, left and right sides take zip-in panels you can swap. No bedroom inner is in the box, so the price pays for height and how it opens, not for floor area. So I wouldn't choose this tent instead of a 2-room tent; I'd choose it only when I want a 245cm-high living room.

Key points

  • Packed size is about 85×55×35cm, about 164L as a box: the same volume as the LOGOS air tent that costs JPY 33,000 less
  • No bedroom inner tent is in the box. What you get is a removable floor sheet and three sets of closed and mesh panels
  • Clear windows are sold separately at JPY 19,800 per 1 side. Fitting all 3 sides costs 198,000 + 59,400 = JPY 257,400

HANARE release date: deliveries "from late February 2027"

The TOKYO CRAFTS HANARE air-frame tent (TC376) hasn't been released yet. On Oct 14 the official page listed it as a pre-order, "new pre-orders delivered from late February 2027", at JPY 198,000 incl. tax.

It's a tent for people who want a living room they can stand up in. Families who want separate bedroom and living space in one tent are better off with the LOGOS or DOD, which come with inners.

Pre-order bonuses (Inner Roof Blackout Plus, 1 TPU windows, metal sticker) run until 9:00 on Monday, Oct 26, 2026.

How I judged it

When you spend more than half the year in a tent, there are plenty of rainy days spent inside all day. So the first thing I looked at wasn't floor area but the 245cm height. The LOGOS air tent is 200cm, a 45cm difference.

It costs JPY 33,000 more than the LOGOS. What gave me pause is that no bedroom inner tent is included. Even so, I read it as worth choosing for people who want an air-supported living room they can stand up in.

In the boxTent body, 3 sets of closed and mesh panels, 8 pegs, 4 guy lines, air pump, storage case
As shown on the official page on Oct 14, 2026. In the features section, the waterproof rating is described as "planned".

The weight figures don't agree within the same page: the spec table says about 19kg, the features section says about 19.4kg for the body and about 25kg total, and the FAQ says about 18.5kg. In this article I compare using the spec table figure.

Multiplying the packed size as a box gives about 164L (85×55×35). That's the same as the 164L (82×50×40) I calculated in the LOGOS air tent review.

Air holds it up; zips change its shape

The frame is air tubes, not poles. Onto that, you zip on front, left and right panels. There are three panel types: closed, mesh, and separately sold clear windows. Swing them outward and they become a roof or a privacy screen.

A floor sheet comes standard; remove it and you have a dirt-floor space. It's designed to fit in about 8×8m including guy lines. How to read plot size against tent length is in the 10 two-room tents comparison.

The weak points

  • No bedroom. No inner tent is listed in the box contents. Both tents I compared it with come with a bedroom inner.
  • About 24kg if you pack the mesh panels too. That's 7.5kg heavier than the LOGOS at about 16.5kg (24 − 16.5).

The LOGOS suits: families who need a 2-room layout with separate bedroom and living space. It comes with a 270cm-square inner, is 7.5kg lighter and JPY 33,000 cheaper. Its fly is rated 1,600mm, lower than the HANARE's 2,000mm. I put guidelines in the tent waterproof rating article.

LOGOS Air Magic PANEL Tunnel Dome XL

Lowest price on Rakuten: JPY 149,999 (as of 10/14). Prices vary by up to JPY 165,000 between shops. Prices change daily.

The DOD suits: families who look at price and cargo space first. It's JPY 68,200 cheaper (198,000 − 129,800) and packs about 63L smaller. Its fly's minimum waterproof rating is 3,000mm, and it comes with an inner for 6 adults. If you want a big roof for under JPY 100,000, there's also the WAQ AIR VISTA (JPY 99,000).

Sold separately

The clear TPU windows are sold separately at JPY 19,800 per side (2 panels). Fitting all 3 sides brings the total with the tent to JPY 257,400 (198,000 + 19,800×3). The Inner Roof Blackout Plus is JPY 15,950.

No canopy poles for propping the panels up are included. The 8 pegs and 4 guy lines are what you need to pitch it fully closed.

What we don't know yet

  • How long it takes to set up, and how many inflation points there are and the right pressure.
  • Capacity. The maker only says "for families (4 people and up)".
  • The final waterproof rating, and the floor sheet's waterproof rating.
  • Availability and prices at stores other than the official store, such as Rakuten.

Who is it for?

It best suits families who want a living room they can stand up in, even on rainy days. You can open and close a ceiling 45cm higher than the LOGOS with three panels. A 245cm box held up by air is a shape nobody else makes.

If you want to manage with one tent that has a bedroom, you can also choose the LOGOS or DOD, which come with inners.

FAQ

When is the HANARE released?

It's listed as a pre-order, with "delivery expected from late February 2027" (estimate).

Can I cancel a HANARE pre-order?

No. As a pre-order item it can't be canceled, including when the delivery date changes.

Can one person pitch the HANARE?

It's designed so one person can pitch it, but for safety the maker recommends two or more people.

How much wind can the HANARE handle?

In the maker's wind tests it cleared a maximum wind speed of 20m/s with the panels propped up, and 25m/s fully closed or with the eaves rolled up. It doesn't guarantee performance in natural wind, and warns not to use it in typhoons and similar conditions.
