Snow Peak's Thermo Tumbler 360 (TW-360) is a 360mL vacuum-insulated tumbler that went on general sale on Jul 11, 2026. It is my pick for people who drink a cup of coffee or tea every day, camping or at home, and the deciding points are its 150g weight and a drinking edge only 0.8mm thin. It is JPY 4,480 incl. tax and comes in 12 colors.

The Gear Nerd's Pick

It is double-walled stainless steel with a vacuum between the walls, so heat does not escape easily. The wide opening lets the aroma rise, and the rim is thinned to 0.8mm for a pleasant feel on the lips. So I choose the 360 not as a “small 470” but as a size for drinking hot drinks along with their aroma.

Key points

  • The 360 is 150g and JPY 4,480, and the 470 is 225g and JPY 5,545. Both are 84mm in diameter, and the height differs by 38mm
  • Weight per 100mL is about 41.7g for the 360 and about 47.9g for the 470. The smaller one is lighter for its capacity
  • The 360, which used to be event-only, went on general sale in all 12 colors. The 470 also grew from 4 colors to 12

When did the Thermo Tumbler 360 come out? How much is it?

Snow Peak's Thermo Tumbler 360 (TW-360) went on sale on Saturday, Jul 11, 2026. The price is JPY 4,480 incl. tax, the capacity is 360mL and the weight is 150g.

This was a size previously sold only at events, and this time it went on general sale in all 12 colors. On the same day, the 470 grew from its standard 4 colors to 12 with 8 new ones, so across the two sizes you can choose from 24 combinations.

How I judged it

First I compared its size with the 470. The diameter is the same 84mm, and the heights are 112mm and 150mm. The 360 is 38mm shorter and 75g lighter.

What I wavered on was that the 470 holds a 350mL can of beer as is. I still recommend the 360 because if you drink coffee or tea one cup at a time, it is a size that leaves nothing over and fits in the hand. The thin rim and wide opening also suit enjoying the aroma of hot drinks.

Thermo Tumbler 470 TW-470470mLDiameter 84 × height 150mm225gJPY 5,545
As shown on the Snow Peak official page on Oct 18, 2026 (incl. tax). Both have a stainless steel body (painted versions have polyester paint on the outside), and the bottom cover is silicone rubber.

Weight per 100mL is about 41.7g for the 360 (150 ÷ 3.6) and about 47.9g for the 470 (225 ÷ 4.7). Price per 100mL is about JPY 1,244 for the 360 and about JPY 1,180 for the 470. The 360 is lighter for its capacity, and the 470 is a little cheaper.

The 470 fits a 350mL can exactly, and they stack for storage. Split it by quantity and you will not hesitate: the 470 if you pour beer from a can, the 360 for one cup each morning.

Getting 1 of each of the 2 comes to JPY 10,025 (4,480 + 5,545) and 375g (150 + 225). Since the diameter is the same 84mm, the width of the storage box does not change when you line them up, and you can use the 360 in the morning and the 470 at night.

How the Thermo Tumbler works: wrapped in vacuum, with a thin, wide rim

With vacuum insulation, hot drinks stay hot and cold drinks stay cold longer. The vacuum layer has almost no air to carry heat, so heat passes outward only with difficulty.

The opening is wide so the aroma rises easily, and the rim is a thin 0.8mm. A silicone rubber cover is fitted to the bottom.

When you spend more than half the year camping, a cup is something you pick up many times a day, from morning coffee to the last drink at night. So I look at the feel on the lips and a size that fits the hand before weight.

The weak points

A 350mL can of beer does not fit in the 360. The price per 100mL is also about JPY 64 cheaper for the 470, so for people who drink a lot of cold drinks, the 470 is the better deal.

How to choose from 12 colors

The 12 colors are Light Blue, Light Green, Light Yellow, Light Pink, Sand, Light Gray, Purple, Olive Green, Terracotta, Light Taupe, Black and Silver. The 360 and 470 come in the same colors.

The colored models have polyester paint on the outside of the stainless steel. The 12 colors split into six soft pastel shades and six deeper, calmer ones. If family or friends each take a color, you can tell which cup is yours on the table right away. I wrote about matching the whole tableware set in how to choose camp tableware and cutlery.

Who the Thermo Tumbler 360 is for

It suits people who want to drink 1 cup of a hot drink slowly, on camping mornings and at home. It packs a 150g weight, a 0.8mm rim and 12 colors into JPY 4,480, a new product that is fun to pick up every day.

If you drink beer by the can, there is also the 470. I put things that boil water in the cookware ranking. I looked at a folding spoon in the SOTO UKU spoon review.
